Collipp-Worden Park (226 West Slifer Street) – 16.5 acre park located on Slifer Street, two blocks west of Hwy 51. This Community Park is named after Conrad Collipp who owned one of the first brickyards in Portage and the Worden Family who sold the property to the City of Portage in 1968. Development of the park started in 1975 through the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Community. The city’s largest park is home to two shelters, restrooms, three basketball courts, two tennis courts, sand volleyball court, a ballfield backstop and green space, a large playground (new in 2023) with various age group equipment and zipline, electricity, charcoal park grills and more! This park is also home to the City of Portage disc golf course.
